The Art Room: Create Your World

The Art Room: Create Your World

"What you speak is what you get," said Papa with a grin.

Really? The ageless child inside me is restless to test this out!

Words fascinate me. Books have been my best friends, so much so that I wrote my own first book on the green lined pages of a neon green spiral notebook when I was eleven years old. It was about an abused orphan who finally escapes to freedom and finds the love she always longed for.

I didn't realize I had written my future into existence. What I speak (and write) is what I get. The imagination is the single most powerful source of energy in the universe. Words harness the energy and change the atmosphere!

"You are to impact life, don't let it impact you," I heard Papa tell me one day. I always try to write His words down in my journal because I know it's because He wants to teach me a lesson about life.

So I write. I publish. I squirm a bit because it feels totally weird to send words out into the universe where anyone and everyone can read them. I keep writing, and writing, and writing anyway. Because I've learned the power of words.

I have a dream. It's a vision of the kind of world I want to live in.

Little by little, I encounter people who are just like the characters in my "ideal" world. If my words can change the atmosphere around me, then they are also affecting the people inside my atmosphere. Because I want to be a change agent for peace and blessing in this world, I'm beginning to attract like-minded people… instead of abusers! Yeah!!!

"Life is but a dream," whispered Papa.

Life is what we make it to be. There is real evil in power in this world's system. There are very real people and events we should be aware of because the enemy always wants to steal, kill, and destroy us. But Papa God reminds me that He is greater in me than the one who abuses the world.

I was married to evil and part of a cult-church for decades. It used to overwhelm me, the great occult powers in the world… but I've separated myself from the world. As long as the world no longer has a place in my heart, they cannot touch me. Of course, they can kill my body… but my spirit is ageless and not affected by death. My Truth cannot be subjugated to lies anymore.

If anything, my encounter with evil face-to-face has given me the courage to keep using my words to create LIFE, the rich and satisfying life that Jesus promises. Not just for myself, but for everyone who is touched by the atmosphere I create around me.

I take responsibility for my life these days. I take responsibility for my home, my community, my nation, and my world. I cannot change anyone else. Heck, I can't even change myself. It's all by the power of God, and He tells me the power is in my words.

The tongue can bring death or life; those who love to talk will reap the consequences. ~ Proverbs 18:21

Susan's upcoming, interactive memoir, "On the Way Home," tells the story of how she came to be known as "the most abused woman" her counselors had yet met and how she learned to navigate her way out of hell to a rich and satisfying life. In her lifetime, Susan has served in duties ranging from home school mom – to pastor –  to full-time deliverance minister – and to Midwest regional prayer coordinator for a large international ministry. Hey Susan,
Love your blog and your message today.  I try to block out all negative forces.  When start talking about the doom and gloom of the economy or something else I just say, well if I don't listen to it, it wont effect me.  I try to live the life I want and not get interrupted by events and people that I have no control over.
Looking forward to reading more of your great content.
Beth 🙂

Beautiful as always Susan. Your writing is so inspirational and remember that Papa God is a great economist … He never let's an experience go by, good or bad, that we can't use for His Glory and so keep shining bright. You would be surprised how many abused women (and men) are out there who need your help and advice.
