You Are Not Too Much

You Are Not Too Much

I love to hear your voice, sweet one. You are not too much. You will never be too much. You're not alone. This battle is not yours to fight; it's Mine.

Don't hold back your story. It's holy ground. Your life is sacred.

What you love about being with your true friends – the ones who know all about you and accept you with all the "baggage" – is that they and you and Me together is holy ground.

You're just getting ready to really live. Your BEST life is beginning now.

Not one of us can really live our BEST LIFE until we learn to sing and dance in the dark desert night of the soul. In the companionship of other survivors and life-seekers, we pour our hearts out in the dance of life under the bright stars – that great Cloud of Witnesses.

You are a star. You are designed to shine in the dark.

That doesn't mean you have to act like everything's okay. It's okay, dear heart, to be confused or in agony. It's okay to scream and shout, to get it all out. Don't let anyone tell you to "get over it" or to "move on" or in any way to minimize your pain and grief. Only you know when it's all out!

I see you under the blankets, your pillow wet with hot tears. It's okay. I'm collecting and bottling those tears, and you're going to be amazed what I create with it!

My sweet one, I see you longing to fly – to be free.

I know you're lonely and scared and tired and you want a new story of your life. This series of broken dreams isn't the kind of legacy you see yourself giving to the world.

You're not broken in My eyes, sweet one. Your hopes and dreams are ALL safe in Me… all of your hopes, your dreams, and your beautiful visions of making something beautiful out of the ashes. My own heart beats soundly in your breast. I won't stop loving you or caring for you until My masterpiece is complete in you.

You are My masterpiece, my treasure… one of the greatest works of art in this world.

You are not too much. You are not too broken. You are not too weak. You are MORE than you were before. You are getting it. Your spirit is enlarging and one day your physical body will be too thin and stretched to contain the growth of your beautiful spirit. One day you will fly Home to Me.

Your mission is not yet complete. I know more than the doctors. I've got spare parts.

This is My battle and I've already won. I've got your surrounded by holy fire. Walls of holy fire surround you, sweet one.

Sing, oh daughter of Zion. Shout, oh daughter of Jerusalem. Your king is coming to you!

What story will you tell your friends today, dear heart?

David, in Psalm 22, was surrounded by a pack of wolves and unless God showed up he knew he was done for. He says,

"You, God – don't put off my rescue! Hurry and help me! Don't let them cut my throat; don't let those mongrels devour me. If you don't show up soon, I'm done for – gored by the bulls, meat for the lions.

"Here's the story I'll tell my friends when they come to worship, and punctuate it with Hallelujahs… He has never let you down, never looked the other way when you were being kicked around. He has never wandered off to do his own thing; he has been right there, listening."Along with those who never got it together – worship!

"Our children and their children will get in on this…." (The Message Bible)

Jesus quoted from Psalm 22 while enduring the agony of the Cross, and I wonder if he was envisioning David's prophetic cries, punctuated with Hallelujah's… seeing the day when EVERY knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.

Dear heart, what story are you telling your friends? How you tell your story creates your future!

Your story matters. Write your truth. Include all the pain and agony, like David did when he was surrounded by ferocious wolves who only wanted to destroy his precious life. But then change it. Rewrite your future! Tell HIS story – the story that is unfolding before your eyes!

Your BEST LIFE is beginning NOW! You've only begun to really live. You're learning to sing, dance, and pray with your friends in the dark desert of your souls. That's the starting point and the ending point in life's circle. We are moving from glory to glory, as each little story sparks and ignites another person's story, splashing and rippling outward… and story by story we are building bridges from a fear-based reality to real, abundant God-life-in-us.

It's sacred. It's holy ground.

So inspirational to know that even in the dark, light shines.  That God is for us.  That He leads us, and that we are overcomers as we overcome.  We are never alone – made for connection.  Vulnerable moments in the safety of friends leads us to share more deeply and realize just how far we've come.

A word from Faith Tabernacle that came in today… so rich in the promise of restoration…

October 30, 2013

THE TRUMPET by BILL BURNS:

I am going to allow My anointing to touch you and allow the rivers of anointing to come alive within you and begin to flow. Out of that flow shall come great joy, great hope,  and great understanding. This anointing is to restore you. Rise up and receive that which I am doing, and dwell fully in My kingdom.  Be restored this moment, says the Lord.

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS:

I saw a house that had been ravaged by storms.  The outside structure was still intact and the foundation was firm, but the inside of the house needed to be completely restored.  I then saw builders come in and tear out all that had been damaged and construct a new and better interior.  It was beautiful and so much better than what had been destroyed.  And, the Lord said:  There has been much chaos and destruction that has challenged your very existence in some cases.  But, I have allowed this for the sake of establishing strength and order in every area of your life.

Jeremiah 31:28 "And it shall come to pass, that as I have watched over them to pluck up, to break down, to throw down, to destroy, and to afflict, so I will watch over them to build and to plant, says the LORD.

The painting at the top of this post was designed and created by Beth Morey, at Epiphany Art Studio. She is a woman is a great big heart of compassion, who has known suffering, and who shines brilliantly!

I purchased "You Are Not Too Much" earlier this year and the painting looks even more incredible in person! The colors are rich and vibrant – much more so than on my computer screen here 🙂

It's hung above my desk and each time I glance at it, I feel Papa God's great love for me, knowing that I am not too much for him! I hope it blesses you – and if you want to purchase the painting for yourself, it's just $13 at Beth's art shop!
