When the Wind Blows

Ride the Wind

By: Susan Deborah Schiller

The wind blew us here and our hearts took root in the sandy soil in the high plains desert of the Wind River reservation. When the wind blows you don't have to wonder where you're going or know the reason why. You just pick up all anchors and spread the sails of your spirit.

Right now is such a time. It's a time when the Spirit is moving and there is change in the air. When the wind blows it's time to be moved. Change is stressful but when you know it's God's Spirit on the move it's easier to rest in the tension. He ususally moves into the places of chaos, suffering, and injustice.

My prayer is "Cause me to see, hear, speak, and move as You do, Holy Spirit. Take me when and where you're going."

"Rest in the tension." I like the way you put that. We are in a place like that right now too. I'll be praying for you today as you prepare for the wind that moves and as you wait in the tension.
