A Secret Medicine

Star Songs

By: White Dove

"There is a secret medicine given only to those who hurt so hard they can't hope.

The hopers would feel slighted if they knew." — Rumi

The secret medicine has turned out to be my ideals in life. These are the truths that hold me together in a state of awe and wonder, that are able to guide and direct my decisions.

My secret medicine is: "Love heals. Joy transforms."

These ideals emerged through an open vision I once had, where the Creator of the Universe invited me to count the stars… because He's quite a mathematician.

And so I write this fibonacci poem, because somehow math matters…

Gazing

longingly

into Heaven

I hear him

Faltering footsteps I stumble forward

Spinning through constellations, we count the singing stars.

I heard His invitation. He beckoned me, "Little One, let's count the stars."

Suddenly I was transported to a different realm, high up in the heavens. It was a circular ship with 360-degree windows above a massive control panel. The captain who called me "Little One" was standing in front of what looked like an ocean of fiery, brilliant stars.

Despite his kind nature my mind could only take a few seconds before I was suddenly back "home" in my room, praying… with a new sense of wonder.

To this day, I still feel the invitation and this vision is like a window, a portal, to view the Universe from a different perspective. How He loves us all! Each star has a name, a special meaning and purpose for life!

He counts the stars
and calls them all by name. – Psalm 147:4

While the morning stars sang in chorus
and all the angels shouted praise? – Job 38:7

This Cosmic Dance shows me a joyful picture of Creation. We have a Creator who is so fully confident in Himself that He invites us to count the stars, who puts mathematical patterns and special sequences into His artwork all for the joy of co-creating with His children, with us!

In my life lately God's asking me to once again leave the familiar, just as I was getting comfortable! Once again, I'm going to a new country, a new land. It's scary. It's risky. Some of my friends hurt for me, want to hold me back, and caution me to choose an easier path.

Haven't I had enough? I wonder if Abraham also wondered such things… wasn't it enough he had to leave Ur, did God have to make his wife barren, too? All the water well fights. Kidnapping of his nephew's family. And then Mount Moriah… when it seemed even God was hostile!

What if God is simply inviting us into a greater story? What if it's all a musical, a dance, a work of High Art?

What if there are mathematical algorithms that determine the number of hairs on our heads, that design our personality, that direct our actions and reactions in a predictable manner?

Sometimes the veil is lifted and we see beyond ourselves, beyond the limitations we take for reality, and we get to simply stand next to the One who holds all of this wonder together with a word of His mouth.

This is the adventure I'm on today, what I call a "Soul Quest".

I met a retired rocket engineer, who like the man in my open vision, invited me to learn how neutrinos from the realm of stars penetrate our bodies and light up our souls. He taught me the algorithms that have governed my life story. He showed me how my life is really not just my own, how my soul is designed to shine as part of this Cosmic Dance!

My eyes were opened to the Glory of God radiating through me, through this grand Cosmic picture… but it doesn't change the fact that I still struggle with inadequacies, fears, and insecurities. This is part of the dance, too. All this "darkness" is the backdrop against which the glory shines most brilliantly!

It is a blessing to be poor in spirit, to feel like you're broken – too broken, even, to matter. It's a blessing to be simple, to not have it all together. It's a blessing when you're overlooked, under-appreciated, and even exploited. It's a blessing to feel like you have nothing of value to offer, in this world's estimation.

Because then you get to see God! You're invited to dance with the Creator, to shine like a star.

What is your biggest dream? Chances are your greatest fear is equivalent to the size of that dream. Maybe that's why we need to dance for joy, even when we feel small and insignificant. Joy transforms.

Move your body. Shake your head. Smile. Paint. Write. Run. Dance, even if you can only move your toes inside of your shoes. Do something today to stir up Joy, because it opens your heart for Love.

Little One, let's count the stars….

There's an invitation for you, too, to experience the MORE of why we're here on this planet. As for me, I'm just learning, and the more I learn, the more I realize I don't really know much of anything yet. It keeps changing as I choose Love and Joy.

What do you choose today? What are the ideals that guide your life's decisions? My best advice for today is to get into a state of awe and wonder, as much as possible. Let your mind wander, let your heart roam the vast universe of ideas, and always remember your life matters. There is much Secret Medicine for you!

Hi, I’m White Dove. Yes, it’s my pen name, and it was given to me by a blind man who shyly whispered it to me in a Divine encounter. Yes, it’s my real picture… just an ordinary selfie.

I live with my family in the mountains, surrounded by ancient forests, pure streams, and mighty rivers… but I also travel quite a bit.

My kingdom career is a Heart Scribe. I love to write from God’s heart and have been recording His living Word for the past three decades. It’s brought me so much beauty, joy, peace, and happiness!

I love to inspire trauma survivors to write their life stories, unearthing the treasures of their past and sowing them into the future. We dip our pens in blood and write the pain away… as God has shown me how to do, in the company of supportive friends and family. We are writing ourselves into a better world, beginning with discovering our own original design recorded in the DNA of our soul, and it’s the most exciting place to be!

“Owning our story can be hard but not nearly as difficult as spending our lives running from it. Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of our light.”

I appreciate your articles. I just got out of a 18 month relationship with a somatic narcissist who could drink, cheat and lie with the best of them.  I'm 56 years old and I didn't even know what a somatic narcissist was, let alone have to live under the same house with one….for 18 months.

I am glad you are out of this type of evil relationship, Joe.

18 months is a long time but you will be okay, in time.

I enjoy the Fibonacci form but have been drawn to free verse or prose more often than not the past year or so. Maybe I'll be able to flex my form muscles a little this month.

Truly, I love your poem, especially "we count the singing stars." Stunning!

Well, I AM a mathematician, and I love the fibonacci poem.  In fact, I had never heard of this type of poem before, even though I have known about fibonacci patterns for years.  Stunning photos, too.  I might add, that even though conch shells are the most familiar of the fibonacci formations, pineapples are good examples, too.  There are SO many examples in nature.

That is fascinating, Elizabeth! The pineapple, too… wow, that does make sense. I love discovering new mysteries – thanks so much for sharing!
