Sending Love and Light – What Does it Mean?

By: Susan Deborah Schiller

In the series, "Love from Papa"

"Sending love and light," is a common phrase among people today who have experienced great darkness and reach out to others, hoping to be a beacon of Hope. Is it just a wish, a blessing, or is it a sacrifice that means blood, anguish, and potential death?

I believe it's all of the above, including an antidote to all the fear, anxiety, and stress around us.

The antidote to evil is kindness, goodness, gentleness… and all of the many manifestations of Love and Light. Easy to say, hard to do.

Those of us who send out this love and light, with or without knowing it, stir up the darkness. It's like our names are known in hell and everywhere we go, the darkness quakes. It makes some people hate us. This is one of the patterns in my life, and so I return to my journal for clues to calm the storms.

Jesus was accused, betrayed, rejected, slandered, tortured, and killed without blaming, shaming, or getting upset. He showed anger, sadness, grief, and many other human emotions, but He chose not to harbor thoughts and emotions that fed the forces of evil. He walked in a peace that surpassed natural understanding.

How can I learn to walk in that level of peace?

We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God's throne. – Hebrews 12:2

I disregard the shame hurled at me. Whatever I focus on, magnifies, so I will focus on the flip side… the honor of being God's beloved daughter, no matter what anyone says.

From my diary, as I listened in prayer: "…You haven't caved in. You still stand for the Truth, in Love. You are a gateway for Light into this wicked part of the world. I feel your heartbeat. I hold you on my chest, calming every shudder and comforting you with each weary sigh."

In the days of His flesh, He offered up both prayers and supplications with loud crying and tears to the One able to save Him from death, and He was heard because of His piety.Although He was a Son, He learned obedience from the things which He suffered. And having been made perfect, He became to all those who obey Him the source of eternal salvation,… – Hebrews 5

I learn the blessing of obedience and it gives me joy.

Continued in my diary: "My heart is touched as you pray not only for mercy on your enemy but you also cry out to me to deliver you from anger. You ran for help to the Christian leaders who you thought loved you, but in their busyness they have set you aside. …. You've been cut out of their hearts, but you still have a Home in Me.

But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed. – Isaiah 53:5

And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death– even death on a cross! – Philippian 2:8

All of God's children are treated like this, at some point in time. Some more than others!

I want to live at that level of trust. Intimacy is the way.

I want to know you, to recklessly abandon my life to you.

"Little One, how can I not answer a prayer like that? And so you shall learn to live in that state of trust, in a place of complete abandonment. People will reject you for it. They will misunderstand and judge you. They will abandon you in the hour of your deepest need. Some will shun you, for life….

My Beloved, you don't see as I see. These trials you've endured and the greater trials up ahead of you, they are forming a deep well of compassion, love, and mercy within your heart. The very people who are abusing you, abandoning you, and misrepresenting your character – these "flesh-eating Christians" – are merely tools in my hand to remove the sinful parts of your life.

Like chisels, I am using these flesh-eaters to sculpt a true and beautiful work of art in your life. You asked me to, my darling. You offered up your whole life as a living sacrifice and I am using even these enemies to create a masterpiece. I love how you love Me even in the midst of these hardships. The aroma of your sacrifice is a sweet incense. I love who you are becoming… a pearl of great price."

In Heaven my charges have been dropped, so I focus on Love and Light… what God is up to.

If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? 33 Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. 34 Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.   ~ Romans 8

The truth is, the mind of Christ allows us to turn all the negatives into something full of awe and wonder.

God uses these trials as "Glory Enhancers".

Human defiance only enhances your glory, for you use it as a weapon. — Psalm 76:10

What if your abuser is actually causing you to prosper, causing more of God's glory to shine in your life?

"Behold, I Myself have created the smith who blows the fire of coals And brings out a weapon for its work; And I have created the destroyer to ruin. "No weapon that is formed against you will prosper; And every tongue that accuses you in judgment you will condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, And their vindication is from Me," declares the LORD. – Isaiah 54:17

Although I penned these lines in my personal journal years ago, today I dig into this Truth once again. Today I am processing the slander of a person who is upset with me, casts accusations and blame, and refuses biblical due process. She cries out for me to shut down my blog. She believes she must cry out against me, to protect others from my words, when really she's just hurting, alone, and afraid of the shaking that happens when you face truths you don't want to see.

Sending love and light is a real thing… it sets in motion Heaven's forces to pierce the darkness. When we pray, something changes, and it begins in us.

When you sit at your computer and bleed onto your screen, it's a sacrifice. To me, it's prayer. It's obedience in doing what God has asked me to do. Perhaps the enemy, using her, is removing more of my spots, stains, and wrinkles. How can I not be grateful for persecution?

If we understand that the flip side of adversity is strength and courage, or the mirror side of persecution is blessing, or that trials come packaged with their own provision, then we can rejoice no matter what. It's win-win. We can grin in the face of disaster because we know there are two sides to the story.

Victims only see the persecution, adversity, or trials. Overcomers run to the battle crying, "Bring on the Love!"

Words are powerful. Whether sent as a blessing or a curse, they either bring life or death. Let's send each other love and light, but at the same time remember that not everyone is ready to receive our gifts, our words, or our truth. It's okay, the blessing comes back to you, doubled.

Playing by Heaven's rules, we rule in the midst of the enemy.

There is payback. There are spoils of war.

Nothing is wasted.

I ask God to shelter her in His arms and to deliver her from harm. I ask Papa to give her everything she needs. And wherever I have been wrong, please expose my own darkness, Papa. Forgive us our debts. Lead us not into temptation. Deliver us from evil

Thank you, Marivic, for your kind words. My words come out confident and strong, but much of the time I’m simply preaching to my own soul here… because I need my own encouragement. “Full of life” … not every day, but I’m trying every day to live in the fullness God intended us to be and have.

Love and light to you, too! Many blessings 🙂

To an anonymous reader…

You know how you can "feel" a person, whether they are angry or in a good mood, peaceful or discontent? I believe it's because we are made up of energy, and that our spirits pick up on that energy.

When someone says to me, "I feel peaceful whenever I'm around you," I believe they are sensing my energy waves. God, living in me, is peaceful. A gift of the Holy Spirit is peace.

God is Light. God is love. So if I want to send love and light to someone, I'm simply praying that God be with them.

To me, that's a good prayer.

I also pray, "Expose the darkness" and I often ask God to bring more Light.

In my prayers I also ask God to fill a person, especially in the area of their wound, with love.

When I pray, I know that my words are send forth, as waves of energy. Sound is emitted throughout the universe in waves, as is light. They are on the opposite ends of the same spectrum.

God's word is living an active, sharper than a double-edged sword, and capable of dividing between soul and spirit. When we pray, we are definitely have an impact on the spirit realm, the energy realm, and when we speak words of love and light (God Words) we are blessing someone, even from a distance.

I don't know if this is helpful for you or not – I bless your sense of curiosity and open mind!

Susan

Yes, this is the hardest thing to do … for me
