My Manifesto for a Life Beyond Fear
By: Susan Deborah Schiller
My intention is to life a love-based life beyond fear – to choose Love every moment of every day.
In this life, my love of nature – mountains, rivers, hills, animals, solitude and quiet – are clearly revealed.
My Father's love is clearly visible in my life – His kindness, gentleness, and compassion, His mercy and grace, and His good gifts. My trust in Him and the trust He places in me shine like a star in the universe, like a beacon that guides the way to a life of Love.
It's never about me, for I can take credit for nothing good except this – that I am following in the path of the wise ones of this world… Yeshua and those who love Him: Madeleine L'Engle, George MacDonald, C.S. Lewis, Ghandi, Ted Dekker, Dean Koontz, Oswald Chambers… and all those who have learned to love the Truth, and who wield the Truth in Love… all who look for the Good and turn from evil.
I intend to live not by being tied to time clocks, schedules, and deadlines. I prefer to live by the seasons, the moon, and the stars.
I want to live from my true self.
I want to feel God's presence and hear His voice every moment of the day.
I want to change the atmosphere just by my presence.
I want to be a peacemaker.
I want to be an independent thinker and non-conformist to this world's system and ways.
I want to do what I know is right in my own heart, without fear of offending those I love.
I just want to be me and allow others to be who they are, too.
I want to live in a world where there is no judgment, no manipulation, no greed, no control, and no religious fanaticism.
I want to learn how to grow good food and create a peaceful garden with a waterfall. I want to make a pond again!
I want to learn the ways of Nature and to hear and see what is really happening behind the scenes… to see beyond the natural.
I want to keep writing and support people to write their own stories.
To do all this I just need Love. With love comes trust. And for these, all I need is hope.
Hope, faith, and love.
To nurture these, I need a secure place to live in this world so that I can sleep, eat, and live well.
I need warmth, a good bed, and the means to buy and cook good food.
I intend to be grateful for what I have, even in the struggles of life, because what I focus on I give power to, and if I fix my thoughts on all that is good and wonderful, I will begin to receive what is good and wonderful in life.
In short, all I need is to know is I'm Papa's beloved child. And He always takes good care of His kids, helping us to grow stronger through tests and trials that are never outside of His control. Even when all seems lost, all is well.
Writing Prompt: Even as I have followed in the footsteps of a wise friend, in writing this manifesto, I invite you to join me in writing your own manifesto! The power to create your new life is in the words you speak and write. 🙂
With all my love,
