I Wish, I Want, I Will

I Wish, I Want, I Will

This is my own response to the Day 21 Activation in my "Write to Freedom" Mini-Memoir eCourse… I hope you will join me at the Wishing Tree!

What does the world around you stand to lose, if you fail in your life's purpose?

Most of us work hard but we feel exhausted, like we're always running behind. Anxiety and depression stalk a large percentage of the people we meet and greet every day. As a culture, most of us work to eat and live to work. We've lost our passion for life!

When you rediscover our passion, you learn your real purpose in the world. Fulfilling your purpose refuels your passion for life, and so your energy is continuously renewed.

A few years ago I was in a webinar led by PJ McClure, who has been dubbed "The Mindset Maven," and he taught us a simple method to discover our purpose in life, called "The Three-Year Old Path to Success".

Don't worry, it doesn't take three years to discover your purpose, but you do need to become like a three-year old to discover it! Three-year olds are notorious for asking the "why" questions!

Asking 'why' helps you to dig deeper and deeper, right to the core of your heart.

PJ taught us that children have no limitations in their thinking. If they want to be an astronaut and fly on a space shuttle, they simply say it and believe it! Then they take action. They make a spacesuit. They build a rocket. Now that's faith!

I wish. I want. I will.

Taking us back to our own childhood, PJ reminded us of a children's game, usually played by girls but it applies to all of us: "I Wish… I Want… I Will…"  He encouraged us to play that game and to begin writing down in a journal what we really wish, what we truly want, and what we will do.
  • "If I could ____, I would ____."
  • "My desire is to ____."
  • "If I had time, I would ___."

The toughest question PJ asked us was:

"What does the world (your children, family, friends, etc) stand to lose if I fail?"

Time does not heal all wounds; action does. If I don't take action to heal, to wash off the scent of prey from my soul, to allow the Holy Spirit to dig deeper in my own heart, to release the triggers and time bombs of hurtful events and people in my life, then Time alone will not do it.

So here I go…

I Wish…

I wish to expand my tribe of storytellers whose words create abuse-free zones in their own lives, homes, and communities.

I want…

I want to create a better world for the next generation by leaving a legacy for my own children's children – a legacy of true love – a love that has the power to change life for the better.

I will…

I will publish my book, "On the Way Home" in obedience to God, documenting my history and writing my future. And I will help other survivors of sociopathic abuse to do the same!

Your turn now! 🙂

Be you. Live free. Tell your story.

With all my love,

Sue

Susan Schiller knows how it feels to lose everything: marriage and family, church and reputation, finances and businesses, and more. Susan's upcoming, interactive memoir, "On the Way Home," tells the story of how she came to be known as "the most abused woman" her counselors had yet met and how she learned to navigate her way out of hell to a rich and satisfying life. In her lifetime, Susan has served in duties ranging from home school mom – to pastor –  to full-time deliverance minister – and to Midwest regional prayer coordinator for a large international ministry. These days you can usually find Susan soaking in her favorite hot springs pool, reading a book (or several), blogging, baking bread, or hanging out with her family and friends. You can pre-order a free copy of Susan's upcoming book, "On the Way Home" by registering here.
