How Voicing Your Worldview Helps to Write Your Story

The Power of Voicing Your Worldview

Life Story Writing Tip: Each of us has a unique perspective, called our worldview, which is helpful to know, in writing our memoirs. Knowing our story comes before writing our story, and giving voice to your particular worldview will help you to understand the way you will be writing your memoir. In fact, your worldview is what connects your stories together into a cohesive memoir.

What is a worldview?

world·view  (wûrld′vyo̅o̅′)

n. In both senses also called Weltanschauung.

1. The overall perspective from which one sees and interprets the world.
2. A collection of beliefs about life and the universe held by an individual or a group.

[Translation of German Weltanschauung.] – From The Free Dictionary

A worldview is your basis for answering questions, such as:
Who am I and why am I here?
What decisions will help me to get to my destiny?
Who and what should I believe is true? How do I figure out what isn't true?
Where did I come from and where will I end up?
Who is God and who am I in relation to Him?

Facts are always changing; truth is eternal.
Truth is best conveyed in stories, because that is where we find reality. Some of the best truth is found in books of fantasy, fiction, and memoirs.

My particular worldview can be summarized in these short paragraphs:

Everyone, no matter what form of trauma they have experienced is born a royal child of God and deserves a "happily ever after". Your life story is a work of art, like a fairy tale, designed and created by the hand of God.
As you discover the blueprint guiding your life story and begin to actively record this alignment with Heaven, you begin to trade the nightmare reality of evil vs good for the Kingdom of Heaven in your life. Your true self shines through everything you do.
Your childlike innocence is retored, along with joy and creativity to live your best life!
As I write my memoir, my focus is on the stories that reflect my worldview. My stories are mainly about the heart of God, which we discover in giving our absolute all:
     Wild and abandoned,
          extravagant love,
               intimacy with God,
                   restoration of relationships,
and how God creates beauty out of chaos and invites us to do the same.
Remember, a memoir is not really a chronoglical history so much as it is a snapshot of one particular story, or theme, of your life. Or a series of snapshots! Your story is your legacy that sings not only your destiny but empowers the next generation to live their very best lives.
One soul shining is trues colors ripples to the whole world. In telling your story you have the power to change the world. You are like a star shining in the universe, adding to the Light that overcomes darkness.\

Giving voice to your worldview can help you write your life story with the clarity of focus!

With all my love,

White Dove

PS  Your activation for today is to define your world view. It may be a couple of paragraphs, a list of beliefs, or a little story. It may take a few days for this to simmer in your mind. Remember to trust the soup

White Dove knows how it feels to lose everything: marriage and family, church and reputation, finances and businesses, and more. Susan's upcoming, interactive memoir, "On the Way Home," tells the story of how she came to be known as "the most abused woman" her counselors had yet met and how she learned to navigate her way out of hell to a rich and satisfying life. In her lifetime, Susan has served in duties ranging from home school mom – to pastor –  to full-time deliverance minister – and to Midwest regional prayer coordinator for a large international ministry. These days you can usually find Susan soaking in her favorite hot springs pool, reading a book (or several), blogging, baking bread, or hanging out with her family and friends. You can get a free copy of Susan's upcoming book, "On the Way Home" by registering here.
