Beyond Grief

No matter how high your mountain, or how deep the valley; life is beautiful!

By: Susan Deborah Schiler

Welcome to TeamFamilyOnline.com where we share stories about hope, redemption, restoration, and creating our best real lives following the pain of divorce, death, sickness, and the trials of life.

I am a storyteller. The subjects I write about most are located in that chaotic, messy middle between Heaven and Earth. It's that invisible line where Light penetrates the darkness and you hear the first "gasp!" and the splutter of explectives no ear should ever have to hear. It's the sound of ripping, as the veil that cloaks evil's churchy disguise is burned in the fire of God's Light and Truth. God wants to be known in the chaotic, messy places of our lives. He loves the chaos… it's where He does His BEST creative, redemptive work!

Stories build bridges – they frame our life story so that we become authentic, real friends with each other.

I want to be a bridge builder. Some of my best friends do not share my same brand of religion, and I like it that way! This diverse Bride of Christ is meant to be whole, holy, and without spot, stain, or wrinkle. Love is our language.

In my stories you will see the spots, stains, and wrinkles exposed… but not to blame, shame, or condemn. It's for the sake of reality. I believe we must be authentic followers of Christ and that means facing reality, even when it seems politically or spiritually correct to ignore reality. Sometimes it gets wild and ugly to run cross-culturally.

Denial is epidemic across all denominations. It's so insidious that you don't know you're in denial until you hear a story like something you read here at Team Family Online. And you think, "Huh? Could that really be true? Surely, she's exaggerating!" But you read on, because the Spirit of Truth will show you what's real and what's not.

Yes, in my stories I expose the darkness of a dead, organized religion in which there are both predators in the pulpit and heroes in the most unlikely of places. I expose the strategies of darkness that are destroying homes and famlies, turning children into orphans and brides into widows.

I write because I love the Bride of Christ. I write love letters from Papa… for the corporate Church and for each individual prince and princess in the Kingdom. God loves all of us. Homosexuals, autistics, the disabled, feminists, red, white, black, everyone.

I share my own story, exposing the darkness that crept into my own heart and life. I want to see this whole demonic strategy turned around as we each learn to take responsibily for our lives and to create a safer world with the authority Papa God has given us!

I haven't yet seen God. But I have heard His laughter, I sense His smile, and I know His Word. And it's on the battlefield, that invisible line between Heaven and Earth, that I sense His wildness… His joy.

His utterly fearless attitude has infected me. I'm a prodigal daughter who is on her way home!

I hope you enjoy my stories, but even more, I hope you join me on the journey to your own BEST LIFE by writing your life story! We create our world through storytelling… the stories we tell ourselves are the compass that guides us into the future.

Cheers to your best real life,

Sue
