The Dream of a Broken Girl – A Hundredfold Restoration

A Hundredfold Restoration

By: Susan Deborah Schiller

Letters to Readers

This reader shares her heart, talking about her own rejection of the "broken" girl she used to be, the girl she shut out and left behind. But this little girl holds the key to her future and she is determined to be heard. She has a story, and in the telling of her tale, the truth will set this woman free. A hundredfold restoration is what I heard Papa God is going to give her, and that is thrilling! 🙂

You say you hope sharing your hard story with me isn't ridiculous, and the story you've attached is anything but ridiculous – it's miraculous! Your stories shine, dear heart. You are safe here. We're meant to share our secrets – our hearts – our stories. We're designed for deep and meaningful relationships. Not many people want it, because we're programmed to hide. We live in an atmosphere of Shame and Fear and Control. But you are not tethered to this world. You are flying above, in the free expanse of heaven.

Yes, I know you and I and everyone are going to really like getting to know this girl! She's the warmth you've been needing, to thaw out from the long winter of your soul. This is beautiful writing, too…. the best I've read of your pieces, by the way!

Have you heard Matthew West's music – in particular, "Broken Girl"? I've always liked it.

You ask how I am doing. As for me, my heart just keeps getting blasted by Love in human shapes and forms. I'm working with many women, of all ages who are "coming out" and meeting their little girls. And I'm hearing their stories. And what we are all witnessing is Love's miracle of transformation, a wooing of our Bridegroom and King.

We are not just becoming the girls we used to be, but we are being groomed to reign with Him, to be His Bride.

The spots, stains, and wrinkles are coming out. The beauty I see in these women leaves me, every day, in awe and wonder. This is where I saw myself, at the age of nine. God showed me I'd be doing this work, all the way back then. So I know I'm in the right place and time, and that gives me peace!

Thank you for allowing me to be here, in this place, with you, dear heart…. and to share this view of the little girl who is leading you – and all of us – into greater freedom, joy, and creativity!

Each time one of us gets free, it mysteriously frees all of us. We are all connected in this Body of Christ!

Anytime you want to publish a story like this on my site, I would be honored. I'm collecting 101 stories, of various themes. One woman sent me her "hard story" today – about an abortion she had – and she's so tenacious for freedom that she's given me permission to share it with her name and bio!

You are tenacious, too….. you are a freedom fighter…. and this little girl is going to surprise you some more. She's so worth going back for! I'm proud of you!

You know, it was never her fault or your fault…. You had a dream. A lovely dream.

And what happened to her destroyed that dream. You wanted desperately to believe in that dream, to clutch it and hold on forever, and it's no wonder why…. it's the BEST kind of dream there is!

There is a grief to go through when we lay down that old dream and exchange it for reality. But the beauty of God is that he takes that new reality and the old dream, mixes them together, and gives us a hundredfold BETTER DREAM to live. 🙂

Dear heart, prepare to be amazed at the restoration that is already in progress. Your joy and creativity are going to blossom and really, it's only the beginning of a brand new life for you! This is the great adventure!

All my love,
sue

PS  The "hundredfold restoration" are words I heard from our Father's heart, so don't think I'm just trying to be "nice" or kind. I truly believe you are sowing into your future, in telling the little girl's tale, and in being restored to the innocent child she is… and you are. All little girls want to be pure – it's our inheritance; it's our DNA! Just watch and see – you're going to be amazed! You are sowing into good ground, dear heart! You are rewriting your future and creating a legacy that will bless the next generation! 🙂

I'm just catching up on my feed reader and seeing this. And I'm holding back the tears.

I needed these words. Again. Thank you so much Susan. Your heart is beautiful.

I hope you fully understand the power and joy of you holding space for women to voice who they really are … and/or want to return to be.  Priceless, Susan.

Strong words to encourage the soul! And beautiful the reminder that our God is fierce, strong, and kind.  He really looks after His own.  So shall I cling to Him all the more!

Hmmmm, you have yummy words, Marvia – I am clinging to Him, too – but even better, He’s holding us, because so often our grips fails! But His grip never fails 🙂
