Deliver Us From Evil

Deliver us from Evil

It's pitch dark on the earth right now, yet it's nearly Dawn. We're beginning to see First Light. God's filling the earth with His glory. He's eagerly sarching the whole earth, eager to support those of us who will rise up, in faith. It's our faith that draws His attention. It's our faith, not our need, that draws from His resources.

When we pray, "Deliver us from evil…" we are asking for Heaven's rescue forces to invade our situation. Most of the time we are expecting Him to lift us up out of our pits where we're stuck nearly to our necks in quicksand, but most often what He sends us is an awareness of our responsibility to rise up, in faith.

Every problem is equipped with provision. Every pit has a way of escape.

There are times when God sends an angelic rescue force, or people who rush in and carry us to safety. I am grateful for these rescues! The best rescues have come when I simply turned my head to heaven instead of dialing my cell phone. Some of the worst rescues happened when I asked people for help… because not many understand sociopathic abuse.

Most would be helpers further traumatize and re-victimize the abused.

I'd like to share with you a prayer that has delivered me from evil – it's a prayer that saved my life, many times. It's a prayer that brings Heaven to earth, that cuts to the chase:

Matthew 6:9-13The Message (MSG)

7-13 “The world is full of so-called prayer warriors who are prayer-ignorant. They’re full of formulas and programs and advice, peddling techniques for getting what you want from God. Don’t fall for that nonsense. This is your Father you are dealing with, and he knows better than you what you need. With a God like this loving you, you can pray very simply. Like this:

Our Father in heaven,

Reveal who you are.

Set the world right;

Do what’s best—

    as above, so below.

Keep us alive with three square meals.

Keep us forgiven with you and forgiving others.

Keep us safe from ourselves and the Devil.

You’re in charge!

You can do anything you want!

You’re ablaze in beauty!

    Yes. Yes. Yes.

There are other prayers, too, that have helped me get through (click here for prayers).

Now, will not God bring about justice for His elect who cry to Him day and night, and will He delay long over them? "I tell you that He will bring about justice for them quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth?" — Luke 18

James 1:2-3  My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience [steadfastness, constancy, endurance].

With all my love,

Sue

He does, indeed, deliver us from evil.  The evil that controls us is neutralized in the Glory Cloud.  The evil that constantly barrages us is scattered in praise.  The evil that imprisons us is decimated by His mighty hand.  Thank you, Sue, for sharing your prayers — powerful weapons in the fight against evil. You are equipping an army to take back what the enemy has stolen.  I pray the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob will bless you with protection, provision, posterity and faith.  Bless you, my friend!

Thanks for those mighty blessings, Joyce!

Praise, dancing, discovering beauty, being creative, art, contemplation, praying Scripture, singing, music, poetry… all of these wonderful gifts dispel the evil forces, that is powerfully true! It’s the secret to overcoming, in fact… it employs our faith, builds our faith, and spreads our love…

Thanks again for those blessings, Joyce! I know you are greatly blessed already, but by faith I send them back to you, as well 🙂
