Day 1: All You Need is Your “Yes”

All You Need Is Your Yes!

By: Susan Deborah Schiller

As promised, the adventure is starting today and it's Day 1 of writing your mini-memoir!

A "Living the Adventure" mini-memoir is an heirloom quality book – a legacy – that is simple enough we can all write. A memoir is a gift for yourself and for your community, even the world. It is your choice to publish privately or publicly.

A memoir differs from an autobiography, in that it focuses on themes, instead of a chronological tale of one's whole life story.

Your Mini-Memoir is a way to showcase the most important messages of your life story, but even better, it's a tool to:

  • Become reacquainted with the girl or boy you once were.
  • Open your heart to the adventure of life without limits.
  • Discover your life's purpose and mission.
  • Awaken to your authentic self.

This is NOT a class to focus on skills, talents, and writing expertise. It’s an adventure – an inner exploration of who we are as royal children of God. By the end of our e-course, you will have created a living family legacy in the form of an heirloom quality book!

I’m walking alongside you, holding the gate open as we saddle up our horses and ride into the great unknown.

All you need is your “yes”. Give yourself permission to allow yourself to be seen. In opening your heart, you are giving yourself a gift of creating your very best life.

It’s not a process or a step-by-step blueprint for wholeness. We’re simply going to lean in and listen to our own hearts.

Writing your mini-memoir will take about 20 minutes a day, or you can set aside a larger block of time on the weekends. It can be done at your own pace, when its convenient for you!

You can expect three emails from me each week, over the course of 15-weeks, containing a mixture of:

  • Writing prompts, with ideas and inspiration.
  • A father’s and/or mother’s blessing from God’s heart to yours.
  • My own stories, along with samples of life story writings from Team Family members.
  • Teaching on how to bring order out of chaos and how to create your world, using the materials from the most difficult experiences of your life.
  • Photo prompts and technical tips for those who wish to create an heirloom quality book with colorful, glossy pages.

There are no deadlines or course requirements. You can choose to store these emails in a file, for use later, or you can work on them at your own pace. You can skip around. Stop and start at any time.  You will always be right on time – never behind.

I want to assure you that I will not be pushing you to be or do anything. We come from different backgrounds and we likely have different personality types, and this is about YOU and for you.  I am here to be a friend. No judgment. No shame. No worries.

You are free to share your personal reflections on this journey. You’re free to ask questions and make comments. This is a “team family online” and you are valuable and needed here!

Thank you for choosing yourself and for joining me on this adventure!

Warmly,

Susan Schiller

PS  Your first “activation” is: Consider this a “blank canvas” and your paints and brushes are the inner eyes and ears of your heart, your memories, and the new perspectives you’ll be gaining!

In the meantime, you may wish to create two files for this e-course: 1.) Your email inbox, so you can save these emails and 2.) “My Mini-Memoir” file on your computer desktop. And if you've landed here by surprise, you're welcome to learn more and/or join us at Living the Adventure: My Mini-Memoir.

I'll be back tomorrow with your second activation!

Susan Schiller knows how it feels to lose everything: marriage and family, church and reputation, finances and businesses, and more. Susan's upcoming, interactive memoir, "On the Way Home," tells the story of how she came to be known as "the most abused woman" her counselors had yet met and how she learned to navigate her way out of hell to a rich and satisfying life. In her lifetime, Susan has served in duties ranging from home school mom – to pastor –  to full-time deliverance minister – and to Midwest regional prayer coordinator for a large international ministry. These days you can usually find Susan soaking in her favorite hot springs pool, reading a book (or several), blogging, baking bread, or hanging out with her family and friends. You can get a free copy of Susan's upcoming book, "On the Way Home" by registering here.

Thank you, Susan!  I've been so beat down for so long by an abusive husband that I was unsure if I could ever pick myself up.  I now know I can and have hope for the future!  God Bless!

Hi Sophie,

I’m so sorry you’ve been beat down for a long time. For me, it was 30 years, and it’s taken a bit of time to recover. The letters you will be receiving, and the activations, are a result of many years of putting God’s Word to the test, and putting myself to the tests, too… but it absolutely works, over time.

Transforming our minds is God’s work, but it’s something that we do alongside of Him. This is definitely not a religious exercise, nor is it tied to any particular religion. In fact, much of what I had to unlearn came from my Christian background. My abuse was tied to spiritual abuse and misinformation.

Our stories may be similar or different, but either way, you have a friend walking alongside you as you write to freedom 🙂

Thank you for having the courage to step up!
