Dance With Me

In my darkest hours, when it seemed all was lost in a deep haze of doubts, worries, and fears, all of the sudden my brain fog would clear and Light would come bursting in and what I would hear were three words, "Dance with Me!"
I wish I could say I always responded, but many times I did not. Despair is a heavy giant that plops itself right on top of your heart, when you least expect it. There were many days when I could not shake that giant or even make it budge.
I had to rediscover the power of dance. Dance works everytime, even if you're all alone.
I'd love to be like this unknown woman at the bus stop, who is making history on Youtube. So many people have fallen in love with her because in our deepest hearts we want to have that courage – to not care what people think of us, to soar and fly in our spirit.
Dance, even if it's just moving your toes around inside your shoes while seated at a desk, is a high form of warfare. It gets us out of ourselves, our of our funk. To sing, to dance, to create… with these we can change our circumstances. It's our spirit singing, dancing – shooting like stars off our tongues and out of our hands and feet.
