Are the Photos You Send Via I-Phone Safe from Predators?

At Team Family Online, my goal is to help create a world where "abused no more" describes our global community. Current statistics tell us that 1 out every 25 people are on the sociopathic spectrum, which means 1 out of every 25 people in your community are potential abusers of one sort or another.

That doesn't mean they are all out to get to your kids, but there is one simple way we can all help to protect our little ones, and because I just found out about it, I don't have any other information to share, except what is on this video.

Perhaps you may want to pass this information along, to help safeguard our children and grandchildren!

All my love,

Susan Schiller knows how it feels to lose everything: marriage and family, church and reputation, finances and businesses, and more. Susan's upcoming, interactive memoir, "On the Way Home," tells the story of how she came to be known as "the most abused woman" her counselors had yet met and how she learned to navigate her way out of hell to a rich and satisfying life. In her lifetime, Susan has served in duties ranging from home school mom – to pastor –  to full-time deliverance minister – and to Midwest regional prayer coordinator for a large international ministry. These days you can usually find Susan soaking in her favorite hot springs pool, reading a book (or several), blogging, baking bread, or hanging out with her family and friends. You can get a free copy of Susan's upcoming book, "On the Way Home" by registering here.

Susan, I too saw this on the news this past week and was so relieved to know that my daughter – the mother of my small grandson – keeps her security settings as high as possible.  Sometimes we need to be scared out of our tree to pay attention!  Thanks for posting!

Better to be scared into taking action, yes – I’m glad you’re already on top of it, Agnes  – thanks!

I'm always surprised that people don't know this – it's not "new" technology as the video claims. But at least it gave the solution. Every once in a while I like to freak out my friends who are posting too much info on-line so they can tone it down a bit. And honestly, I think FourSquare is the most idiotic site ever. It's like asking someone to stalk and attack you. I'm surprised there aren't more stories about people getting raped and murdered due to that site.

Technology has advanced so quickly for those of us in the “dinosaur” age… a time when calculators were only beginning to be available and no one had computers. I don’t think anyone could have imagined a digital world, a global society, such as we immersed in today. As predominantly “nice people” we often forget the evil element that uses our “nice things” in ways we’d never imagine. I think that’s how so much evil gets done in this world, anyway… because the nice people are too nice to even think about it!

I’m glad they made the video – I hope it will help save some lives! Thanks so much for stopping in Amethyst and for your comments – I appreciate you!

Sounded scary until you hear how to prevent it.  Thanks for sharing.

Susan Schiller August 17, 2013 at 9:32 am

I’m glad the word is getting out, too, Merle – thanks!

Definitely scary. WOW!! What convenience for the poster, as well as potential stalkers.

Thanks for sharing this. I will make sure I turn it off if I ever want to post pics online.

I’m glad it’s helping people to take protection action – thanks, Princess!

It’s great to be able to do something to prevent scary, when we can – thanks, Emi!

This has been covered on the news this week and I just watched a webinar today that dealt with this exact issue.
Great advice to pass onto people
